In chapter three of And Then There Were None, all the characters eat dinner and take notice to the ten indian figures on the dining table that match the nursery rhyme that is in all of their bedrooms. Once that is over they here a mechanical voice coming from the drawing room. They go in there and they are all accused of murder. The voice lists the date and victim of each guests crime. The voice suddenly stops and everyone gets angry and goes on a search to find where that voice is coming from. Eventually they find an old record player and realize it has a song that is named Swan Song. So then everyone finds out that they were all hired under an agency and not under the owner of the island, Mr.Owen. So then everyone takes turns reading their job that was sent in the mail. Blore one of the guests then believe that a homicidal maniac has invited them all to stay here since he is the detective.
