The fifth person Eddie meets in heaven is Tala. Tala is the young girl that Eddie saw run into the building during the war. Tala burned to death in the building and it was Eddie's fault. When Tala steps into the river you can see her blistered skin that was covered in ashes and her hair that fell out. She calls Eddie to wash away her scars which he does by rubbing a stone on her skin until it is back to her perfect cinnamon complexion and her dark brown hair grows back. Tala teaches Eddie about his importance in life. She says that he helped so many children and he gave joy to so many children so that was his importance on earth. She tells him that since he tried to keep her safe now she will keep him safe.
The fourth person eddie meets in heaven is Marguerite. Marguerite was Eddie's wife who died of a tumor at the age forty seven. Eddie could not find another love after Maurgerite died. She was a very special person in his life that made him who he was when he died. He learned many lesson from her, such as learning hot to love. Eddie did not love anyone else like he loved Marguerite. She was someone no one could replace. When Eddie meets Marguerite in heaven again he feels like he hasn't felt in many years. Marguerite was overall the best person that has stepped in to Eddie's life.
The third person Eddie meets in heaven is Ruby. Ruby Pier was named after her. She was a poor girl and hard worker when she was young. But then came along Emile who married ruby with much wealth. When Eddie first meet Ruby he could not recall who she was. She was one of the reasons why Eddie's life was so miserable. Ruby Pier did nothing good for Eddie's life and thats why it made him so miserable. Eddie has a connection with Ruby because eddie's father and Ruby's husband shared a hospital room. At first Eddie cannot recall who Ruby but then when everything clicks he learns man lessons from her.
-Eddie and the Captain calls his captors crazies.
This shows that they do not care to learn their names which shows that their heart has changed. -"Let's burn it down." This shows that they have much more hostility than they did before. They did not think about what they were doing they were just spinning out of control. -Morton grabs Eddie shoulders and tries to stop him from going into the fire but Eddie turns around and punches him very hard. This shows that they have been cooped up in the huts for so long that they eventually turned on each in a couple seconds of anger. -The captain shot Eddies's leg when he was going into the fire. This shows that the captain would have let the body that went into the fire burn to death but he would not leave Eddie. It shows that war strengthens peoples relationships. -The captain talks about how men sometimes just give up in the middle of the war and will end up getting shot to death. This shows that war is too much for a human to handle that they will not care anymore and they will give up their life so they do not have to fight. The second person Eddie meets in heaven is his Captain from war. Captain was the officer of his unit. He never left a man behind which is showing that he really cared for his group and that he would do anything for them. When Eddie and three other people from his unit got captured the captain was there with them. When Robazzo got sick the captain gave him his burlap bed as a blanket when he soiled his pants. Eddie played a big role in their escape and captain appreciated that. Eddie liked captain as the officer of his unit but, he was not expecting to see captain as one of his five people.
The first person Eddie meets is the Blue man. Eddie meets him in heaven because the blue man needed to finish his unfinished business with Eddie before he finished the five stages. Eddie caused the death of the blue man so, the blue man needed to tell him that before he could go up to heaven and turn back to a normal skin color. Also that everybody is in your life for a reason. He teaches Eddie that nothing random happens and everything happens for a reason. He says that if everything was fair than no good person would die.
This quote in the book, The Five People You Meet In Heaven, written by Mitch Albom was very important. The little girl Amy or Annie says this as she is about to be killed by a roller coaster. It shows that the little girl is in shock that her mother almost died. But with her worry she killed herself. These words caused Eddie to take action by trying to save the little girl. But it killed both of them instead of just one because of Eddie's brave actions. That is why this quote is important.
Eddie Maintenance is the main character in the book, The Five people you Meet in Heaven written by Mitch Albom. He is very old, 83 to be exact. He works at ruby pier amusement which is by the beach. He makes sure all of the rides work and are safe... he knows them like the back of his hand. Eddie could tell you ever single detail about every single ride they have at the park. Eddie is a old man that used to serve in the army, you could tell this because of the military tattoo he had on his right shoulder. He had old craggy skin and salty whiskers with a chin that protruded out far enough that it made him seem prouder than he actually was. He is a very kind and generous man seeing that he gave his co-worker the only two twenty dollar bills had so that his friend could by his wife something nice. Many of the children liked him too, they would always run up to him and grab onto his legs and go on rides with him. But on the other hand, he wasn't such a hit with the teenager crowd. Eddie would risk his life for anyone, I would know that because he died to save another girls life.
What would you ask them?
What would you tell them? Was there something I wanted to tell them when they were alive? 1. Maggie Friedland If I went to heaven I would ask Maggie if she watched over Olive and Margot, her granddaughters. I would tell her that Margot is so funny, that Olive is the cutest baby, and that my Aunt Cara, her daughter, is the best that anyone could ask for. When Maggie was alive I would have told her that she has the best smile in the world, her smile lit up my day and I would have loved to see it more often. I miss Maggie everyday and I would love to see her. 2. Lily Rarue I would ask Lily about Mrs. Layton and how it felt to lose a twin. I would tell her that Mrs. Layton will always keep her somewhere special in her heart. If I ever got to meet Lily I would have told her that she was such a special person to many people in her life. 3. Jesus I would ask Jesus about how he felt when he was being tortured and what did it feel like when you reincarnated back into life. I would tell him that I believe in him and that I am one of his followers. When he was alive I would have told him that I worshiped him. 4. Dan Scott I would have asked him about how it felt to kill someone and how it felt to become apart of your sons family after he was resented by them. I would tell him that if you stayed alive you would probably become a big part of Nathan's life. I also would have asked him about killing someone while he was alive too. 5.Martin Luther King Jr. I would ask him how it felt to be put down by so many people. I would tell him that what he did was right no matter what anybody else said. Also that he helped an endless amount of african Americans. I would have told him when he was alive that he should keep fighting for what he believed in. |
