In chapter six Armstrong is having a nightmare that he is at the operating table and realizes he has to kill the patient. Rogers who's wife passed out that night awakes Armstrong to alert him that his wife is dead. First he says it could have been and overdose of sleeping pills but, Rogers say she only took the pills Armstrong gave her. When everyone wakes up they realize there is no boat that is coming nor ever coming. They all realize that they will be stuck on the island forever. They then break the news that Mrs.Rogers died last night. Once Mr.Rogers leaves the room the res start discussing that maybe Mr.Rogers killed his wife and tried covering it up. Frightened, Rogers thens hows Armstrong that there are only eight little indians on the table instead of ten.
In this chapter all of the guests then examine the drink that killed Tony Marston and realized was poisoned. But, since he poured it himself they thought he committed suicide. They then question why such a high spirited man would want to take his own life. So they take his body up to his room an cover him with a sheet. Then everyone goes to bed in a house that feels like a horror movie. Wargrave starts to think about what just unraveled as he laid in his bed trying to fall asleep. Although he feels stressed he feels a serene wave come over him as a listen to the ocean. Then Vera starts to think about Marston's death and how it related to the ten little indian poem which read "One chocked his little self and died."
In this chapter the subject of the conversation turns to talking about the accusations that the voice made on the record player. They all tell everyone there guilty and explain stories to make sure everyone is on the same page. Plus, so that no one thinks they are living with a murderer in the room net door. So, they'll decide that they should wake up early the next morning and get on the first boat that comes so they can leave the island. But, Tony Marston thinks that they should stay and figure the case out. Right after he said that he takes a drink, chokes on it, and he dies.
In chapter three of And Then There Were None, all the characters eat dinner and take notice to the ten indian figures on the dining table that match the nursery rhyme that is in all of their bedrooms. Once that is over they here a mechanical voice coming from the drawing room. They go in there and they are all accused of murder. The voice lists the date and victim of each guests crime. The voice suddenly stops and everyone gets angry and goes on a search to find where that voice is coming from. Eventually they find an old record player and realize it has a song that is named Swan Song. So then everyone finds out that they were all hired under an agency and not under the owner of the island, Mr.Owen. So then everyone takes turns reading their job that was sent in the mail. Blore one of the guests then believe that a homicidal maniac has invited them all to stay here since he is the detective.
In chapter two of And Then There were None, it starts out with all of the characters in the first chapter that I explained and them all getting rides to board the boat. Many people share taxis until everyone has reached the dock. Then we meet a man named Fred Narracott who is there to welcome everyone onto the boat and take them to Indian Island. He has time on the boat ride to reflect on the different types of people who are on the boat. Then once they arrive to the island they go to a very big and modern house where they are greeted by Mr. and Mrs.Rogers, who are the cook and housekeeper. They all find their rooms and get settled in and by the time everyone is their and done with unpacking and looking at their rooms dinner is ready.
In this chapter the character Justice Wargrave, who used to be a judge, is taking a train to the seaside town of Sticklehaven. From their he is catching a boat to Indian Island. He has heard many rumors about this mysterious island, such as royalty or a celebrity owning the island themselves. He found a letter in his pocket that granted him time to stay on the island from an old friend that he has not seen in eight years. He then believes that the old friend, Constance Culmination would be the perfect person who could have bought the island. One this same train there was another woman named Vera Claythorne who was coming to be a secretary. Vera feels especially lucky that she was offered this job because she was recently accused of being involved of a coroners inquest into someones death. She then looks u and realizes a man starring at her. He finds Vera very attractive and is going to the Indian Island because he was hired for a mysterious and well paid job, his name is Phillip Lombard. Then on the other side of the boat there was a girl named Emily Brent who disapproves of almost anything. She is going to the island to celebrate a holiday with someone who claims they once shard a guesthouse together. She is very conservative and religious. Then we also meet another character named General Macarthur, he is invited to the island to rejoice with old friends and go over old times. He was very relieved when he got the invite because he thought people avoided him because if a rumor that was started thirty years ago. Then there are two more people Dr. Armstrong who was invited to the island to help the island owners wife who has become ill. The other person is Tony Martson who is also going to the island. And one last person is Mr.Blore who was a former detective who also got the invite to come and stay on the island. Mr.Blore makes the assumption that the only man on the train with was closer to death than himself but, he was wrong.
